A pleasant trip down the North Shore of the Loch to the village of Drumnadrochit, where we visit the fascinating Loch Ness 2000 exhibition. The comprehensive information presented will help you decide for yourself whether or not the Monster exists. From here we go on to the historic ruins of Urquhart Castle (the best known spot for Monster hunting) before returning to Inverness.

CAWDOR CASTLE

Tour to this splendid fourteenth century castle, made famous by William Shakespeare in his play, Macbeth. Many interesting rooms to be seen, including the kitchen with its fresh water well. Plenty of time is allocated for exploring both sides of the Castle and the beautiful gardens by which it is surrounded.

Our most popular tour taking route round the Loch. On the way we visit the Monster Exhibition, Urquhart Castle, and the beautiful village of Fort Augustus, situated at the opposite end of the Loch. Travelling high above the south shore on our return we encounter breathtaking scenery and take the opportunity to visit the spectacular Falls of Foyers. The Tomatin Distillery lies just 16 miles south of Inverness on the main A9 trunk route. The Tomatin name is derived from a Gaelic word meaning “the hill of the Juniper bushes.” Today, visitors are welcome to view the Distillery where a special Visitors’ Centre offers a full range of Tomatin products and a unique insight into the Distillery’s traditional working methods, its history and its importance within the world of Scotch Whisky.

A circular tour with the highlight being the famous Glenfiddich Distillery. An interesting drive down the east coast passing the seaside town of Nairn, floral award winning Forres, then inland to Dufftown and Glenfiddich, where under the watchful eye of William Grant, distilling first took place in 1887 and has been going on ever since. You’ll be shown the complete process of whisky distilling and a complementary dram will be on offer to complete the tour. A drive home via the hills of Cromdale and Grantown-on-Spey makes this an ever popular tour.

ISLE OF SKYE

On this tour we head down the Great Glen (Loch Ness) stopping at the Monster Museum, Urquhart Castle and the River Moriston, before heading due west to Kyle, passing Eilean Donan Castle. We cross the bridge to Skye where we visit the only distillery on Skye, Talisker. We view the majestic Cuillin Mountains before heading to the romantic and historic Dunvegan Castle, home of the chiefs of Macleod for nearly 800 years.
